Warriors soar into preliminary finals with thrashing of Knights
40-10 rout books first finals berth since 2011
The Warriors have booked their spot in the NRL preliminary finals for the first time since 2011 with a thumping 40-10 victory over the Newcastle Knights in Wellington.
The Warriors were in control from the outset, scoring three tries in the first 20 minutes to set up a 20-0 lead at the break.
The Knights fought back in the second half, but the Warriors were too strong and eventually ran out comfortable winners.
The Warriors will now face the Sydney Roosters in the preliminary finals next weekend.
